Congratulations to Artix Entertainment on winning the OZF 29 Intermediate Grand Final against Pogjuice Aficionados

After narrowly losing the second map in the Upper Page Playoffs in a 10 minute golden cap, Pogjuice Aficionados were back to play Artix Entertainment after winning their Semi Final match. The maps choosen were Granary, Snakewater and Product, the first map being picked by Artix Entertainment.

Granary started off well for Artix Entertainment, pressuring Pogjuice Aficionados out of mid. However both Medics survived and Artix Entertainment could not retain second. Pogjuice Aficionados won one an Uber exchange and began their assault into mid. Despite winning back mid of a fantastic fight, Pogjuice Aficionados were not able to push into last despite their 40% advantage and were pushed right back to the other half of the map. Pogjuice Aficionados' Medic was forced in Lunchbox but were unable to quickly force the oppositions Uber and Artix Entertainment were able to finally push into last and win the first round.

Artix Entertainment kept the momentum going and won the next mid and were able to pick players off on second. Despite the best efforts of the remaining and spawning players of Pogjuice Aficionados they were unable to hold off the stronger Uber and the second round went to Artix Entertainment.

Again, the next mid fight was won by Artix Entertainment, who wiped all players from Pogjuice Aficionados and pushed all the way to second. With a full Uber disadvantage Pogjuice Aficionados allowed Artix Entertainment to ease into second, trying to stall as much as they could to try and get their Uber, but this was not enough. A Demo bomb killed Pogjuice Aficionados' Medic on 85% as well as destroyed the Sentry Gun all while the rest of Artix Entertainment pushed in and cleaned up on each others damage. A very convincing 3rd round.

The forth and fifth rounds were both repeats of the 3rd, killing Pogjuice Aficionados' Medic and pushing straight into last.

Looking to turn things around on the second map Snakewater, picked by Pogjuice Aficionados, they took the first aggressive move on mid and managed to push Artix Entertainment out. Despite killing Artix Entertainment's Medic at 99% they were unable to keep theirs alive, allowing Artix Entertainment to have a 30% Uber advantage once both Medics spawned. Artix Entertainment aggressively pushed into mid with a huge Demo bomb, getting Pogjuice Aficionados' Medic along with the second point. Artix Entertainment still with Uber advantage pushed into last and quickly wiping Pogjuice Aficionados and converting last.

The second mid went a lot better for Pogjuice Aficionados, killing Artix Entertainment's Medic while keeping theirs alive. Their first push into last failed after loosing their Demo to a trap and their Medic dropping to a bodyshot. Not to be disheartened they kept fighting at mid and were able to pick up Artix Entertainment's Medic and retaining an Uber advantage. An early use from Lower was unsuccessful and they lost all their players despite their best efforts. Artix Entertainment tried as fast as they could to go all the way to last but Pogjuice Aficionados just got Uber and were able to defend and push back out. Pogjuice Aficionados continued their aggression into mid but kept going and going and Artix Entertainment pushed back hard, winning the Uber fight and wiping Pogjuice Aficionados, enabling Artix Entertainment to push into last and win the second round.

Pogjuice Aficionados were able to take the 3rd mid but were crushed when they forced an Uber exchange pushing out of Saw. Pogjuice Aficionados were able to slowly work forward out and capture mid, but had subsequently leapfrogged the Ubers allowing Artix Entertainment to push straight back in. A couple back and forth mid trades and finally Artix Entertainment beautifully wiped Pogjuice Aficionados and went straight to their last and finished the round off.

Again Pogjuice Afficionados won the next mid and pushed straight to Artix Entertainment's last lobby. They pushed into last when both teams had even players. They tried again and were so close to dropping Artix Entertainment's Medic but ultimately failed the last push and were pushed back to their mid. With 6 minutes on the clock, desperation set in for Pogjuice Aficionados. They pushed all their players and were crushed by the waiting players from Artix Entertainment, who then pushed all the way and took the map to 4 - 0 with 5 minutes remaining.

Pogjuice Afficionados pulled out a Kritz play for the last round but nothing came of it, giving Artix Entertainment the chance to cap last and take both maps 5 - 0, convincingly crowning themselves the ozfortress season 29 Intermediate champions!

Thank you to all the players, support staff, and patrons that helped make this season possible. We'll see you all again very soon!

Congratulations to mork and friends on winning the OZF 28 Open Grand Final against bp..

After a close season and playoffs between the top few teams the finals between mork and friends and bp. were not to be missed. Trading maps in the regular season and narrowly loosing both maps in the Upper Page Playoffs, bp were back for blood and ready to put on a show. The first map pick was Sunshine. mork and friends won the first mid, efficiently cleaning up the majority of bp.'s players including the medic. Despite a series of delays to stop mork and friends capturing middle and second, which allowed bp. to gain Uber for their last hold, bp. were unable to hold off the push from mork and friends and the first round was scored. Not to be phased by the previous round, bp. came back swinging and captured mid. Both Medics died and bp. pulled out the Kritz. mork and friends captured middle and second and began their last assault. After multiple failed attempts they finally managed to secure their second point. bp. aggressively fought back, wining mid and forcing an Uber vs Uber fight in choke. They came out on top and managed to get their first point of the Grand Finals. Carrying with their momentum they kept going with a repeat of the previous round they seamlessly won the next round, tieing the game 2 alls. There were 14 minutes left on th e clock. mork and friends managed to win the mid and second. Crucially bp. were able to keep their Medic alive. mork and friends executed 3 failed last attempts, finally allowing bp. to push out to second. A huge bomb from one wynt. on bp. allowed them to push into mork and friends with full Uber advantage. With a minute an a half left they tried pushing in but were stuffed in by a Pyro, causing the map to go to golden cap. Carrying their momentum, bp. kept the pressure on and after a very slow midfight managed to push last and win the golden cap.

bp. picked Gullywash as the next map. The teams played each other on this map in the regular season. bp. beat mork and friends 5 to 4, possibly a risky choice for the second map. mork and friends took the first mid with ease, completely wiping bp.. They pushed in with full Uber and converted the first round. mork and friends kept going in and quickly took round 2. It looked like we were getting a repeat of Sunshine, bp. came back to claim 2 rounds in reasonably quick succession, taking the score to 2 all. The next two rounds were handed out to both teams. With 12 minutes on the clock there was plenty of time for either team to win. Unfortunately this was not the case. mork and friends was able to keep bp. at their last but were still unable to successfully convert a round. Another golden cap was required. bp. started off strong, winning the midfight, but their Medic was killed while mork and friends managed to keep theirs alive. After mork and friends managed to push them back to last with an Uber push, they had many failed attempts to convert their last point. bp. attempted to push out of last but their visit to second was not welcomed. mork and friends found the crucial Medic pick and were able to win the last point, winning the golden cap and taking the series to a 3rd and final map.

mork and friends choose Snakewater to be the decider. If the first two maps were anything to go by this final map would be a nail biter. An aggressive first mid from mork and friends allowed the first cap to go their way, they also ended up winning the first Uber trade and get the second point while they were at it. Ubers were traded back and forth, points were trading hands. It all seemed to be over when bp. wrapped behind mork and friends through Kitchen, managing to take mid while their opponents were on the wrong side of the map. Fortunately for mork and friends their two spawners managed to hold them off just long enough for the rest of their team to catch up and stop their last from being taken from right under their noses. In typical Grand Final fashion, no one wanted to push into last, no one wanted to push out. mork and friends elected to pull andrew onto sniper, this paid off massively. andrew picked off the Heavy and the Medic which triggered mork and friends to push in with Uber, finally taking the last point after an excruciating 15-minute round. The next round seemed dire for mork and friends when they were wiped on second. However a fantastic Loose Cannon play by mackey, killing 3 players AND surviving on 1 HP, kept the round running by the skin of their teeth. The rest of the map was a thrilling back and forth affair, it was so close, any team could have won it. Both teams consistently traded points, pushing each other last and being pushed right back to theirs. Despite the narrow score line and point advantage, mork and friends wanted more. They kept trying to push into last. bp. was so close, the final even Uber fight was about to begin. After their failed last push, which wasn't able to force mork and friends Uber, they went for the desperation dry push. Against a fully buffed Heavy this was almost never going to work, this was one of those cases. The clock ticked to 0 and after 2 golden caps and a very exciting final map mork and friends finally claimed the Season 28 Open First Place title.

Thank you to all the players, support staff and patrons that helped make this season possible. We'll see you all again soon!

Congratulations to back 2 the bones daycare on winning the OZF 27 Open Grand Final against The Zoo.

After an undefeated regular season from back 2 the bones daycare, The Zoo really needed to step up and bring their A-game to the finals match. Their regular season match was the closest match that back 2 the bones daycare had to a loss, so it was going to be difficult but not impossible. back 2 the bones daycare picked Granary as the first map. The first midfight however went to The Zoo, showing back 2 the bones daycare that they meant business. back 2 the bones daycare retreated back to their last and awaited the sacs from The Zoo. After a few failed attempts, Ubers were traded with back 2 the bones daycare coming out on top, but unfortunatley The Zoo lost their Medic. back 2 the bones daycare pushed out of mid with Uber advantage, picking up The Zoo's Medic along the way. The first round went to back 2 the bones daycare. back 2 the bones daycare continued with their momentum, killing all but a Scout at mid and taking the next round. Not to be disheartened, The Zoo came back strong, wiping back 2 the bones daycare at the next mid fight. After a few minutes of stalemate back 2 the bones daycare finally managed to push out of yard and managed to put The Zoo back at last. back 2 the bones daycare managed to get a Sniper pick and pushed into last, however they lost a few players in the Uber, even though they dropped the enemy Medic. The remaining players on The Zoo were able to clean up on the extra damage and hold on to their last point. The Zoo managed to get a pick and pushed back 2 the bones daycare out of their last, winning the post Uber fight. A coordinated Spy play and Soldier bomb forced back 2 the bones daycares Uber, giving The Zoo full advantage to push into last. They managed to take their first round after 13 minutes.

Again The Zoo started off strong, winning the next mid fight. They held lobby for about 4 minutes trying desperately to gain any advantage on back 2 the bones daycare. Eventually they did, pushing into last with player ad and taking the second round. There were just over two minutes left, this time back 2 the bones daycare won the mid fight killing all players but the Medic. They failed their last push however and prepared for one last push. This was unsucessful so the map went to golden cap. back 2 the bones daycare won the first midfight, killing The Zoo's Medic. After a failed last push, finally the map went to back 2 the bones daycare, in one of their closest maps of the season.

The Zoo chose Reckoner as the second map. However, back 2 the bones daycare showed their dominance, taking the first round after winning mid and a post Uber fight. Finding themselves in a similar situation for the second round, The Zoo pushed back to their last, and unfortunately a push out with Uber advantage went horribly wrong allowing back 2 the bones daycare to take the last point and subsequently the second round. The next two rounds were also taken by back 2 the bones daycare, taking the score to 4 - 0. Not to be disheartened, The Zoo pushed back, taking the next round, pushing out after the mid with Uber advantage and taking their first Reckoner round. back 2 the bones daycare were not phased by the loss, they took the next two rounds in quick succession, taking the final score 6 - 1 and becoming your ozfortress season 27 Open champions!

Thank you to all the players, support staff and patrons that helped make this season possible. We'll see you all again soon!

Congratulations to Coffee Clock on winning the OZF 26 Premier Grand Final against MMGP.

Season 26 Premier was coming to a close and the Grand Finals was a match not to be missed. With MMGP and Coffee Clock trading maps in both the regular season and in the UPP the finals was a match not to be missed. Coffee Clock had asserted their dominance this season, only dropping one map to MMGP.

Coffee Clock picked Snakewater as their first map. The first round was an exciting to and fro match with both teams pushing each other back and forth. It was 16 minutes through with the score nil all, when finally Coffee Clock managed to push last and cap the point. MMGP quickly responded with the next round being taken in 2 minutes. The next round was another long paced battle, taken by Coffee Clock after an Uber ad push into last succeeded. Using their momentum they quickly converted another round, leaving MMGP with two and a half minutes to win two rounds, which they were unable to do, leaving the final score 3 - 1 in favour to Coffee Clock.

Sunshine was the next map in the series. After a convincing mid win MMGP took the first round in under two minutes. Not to be disheartened Coffee Clock started of the next round by winning the first mid. This was another long drawn out round lasting a full 16 minutes before Coffee Clock was finally able to convert the round. Event though Coffee Clock won the next mid, MMGP forced Coffee Clock’s Medic on last and were able to capture last using the advantage gained. With five minutes remaining Coffee Clock tried to convert the round, but their Medic was killed before they were able to get Uber in the final 30 seconds. MMGP took the map 2 - 1.

A map not seen often in playoffs was chosen by Coffee Clock as the next map in the series: Product. MMGP started off strong winning the first fight and holding the point for nearly a minute. The next uber trade went in favour of Coffee Clock, letting them wind the clock down for more than a minute. A few more back and forth battles left Coffee Clock’s Medic down in the respawn, which allowed MMGP the Uber ad, they managed to hold off the subsequent attacks and won the first round. Coffee Clock retaliated in the next round winning the first point even though their Medic died. The second round was another closely-fought one, and this time Coffee Clock were able to come out on top. With the scores tied at 1 - 1, many suspected Coffee Clock would be able to take their own map pick, however MMGP were able to take the next two rounds, leaving Coffee Clock fighting to stay in the grand final on the fourth map. The duo of enrith and silvo were too much for Coffee Clock to handle on Product, and they powered their team to a map win.

The next map was Prolands and MMGP were looking to take the series with a map win. However depsite it being MMGP's map pick, Coffee Clock weren't going down easily. After an excruciating 20-minute long first round including many failed last pushes from both teams, Coffee Clock were able to come out on top and put themselves in the lead. With only eight minutes remaining, both teams were scrambling to secure another round, however both teams demonstrated a better defence than offence and the map finished 1 - 0 in Coffee Clock's favour and took us to a final map. ywl led the server in the damage department, finishing the map with an impressive 327 DPM.

The last map was a classic, Process. Coffee Clock took an early lead after securing the first round in under five minutes. The next round was extremely back and forth. Both teams had their fair share of failed last pushes and heroic plays, and ultimately MMGP were able to even out the scoreline to 1 - 1. With the scores even and only five minutes of playtime left on the clock, the tension in the server was palpable. Both teams were fighting for the championship and after a very scrappy mid, Coffee Clock were able to scrape the mid win. With only several minutes left, MMGP were defending their last in order to force a Golden Cap. However they found themselves unable to defend against Coffee Clock's overwhelming aggression. Coffee Clock took the round and the map 2 - 1, which gave them the series in an incredibly tight 3 - 2 match. Coffee Clock are your ozfortress season 26 Premier champions!

Thank you to all the players, support staff and patrons that helped make this season possible. We'll see you all again soon!

Congratulations to Coffee Clock on winning the OZF 25 Premier Grand Final against BUTTERFLY EFFECT.

The Grand Finals for season 25 were between Coffee Clock and BUTTERFLY EFFECT. After beating servo mutts in the Semi Finals narrowly on the second map, BUTTERFLY EFFECT were up against the top team Coffee Clock who so far hadn't dropped a single map throughout the entire season. The match was going to be tough for BUTTERFLY EFFECT, even though they were the only team who had taken any rounds off Coffee Clock!

The first map Gullywash, picked by Coffee Clock, started off quite one sided. Coffee Clock were taking rounds off BUTTERFLY EFFECT in under two minutes, and despite being able to keep their Medic dogroll alive for the last defense, BUTTERFLY EFFECT were unable to hold any of Coffee Clock's strong last pushes. The third round went in one minute 10 seconds after a massive five kill Kritzkrieg from redcoatzygote. Things were looking desperate for BUTTERFLY EFFECT as the score was 4 - 0 with time running out. Coffee Clock won the mid, with just a Soldier and Medic left alive. The round went back and forward, constantly trading midpoint and Medic picks. BUTTERFLY EFFECT managed to kill Coffee Clock's Medic from an Uber advantage push and push into last to gain their first point. Sadly for BUTTERFLY EFFECT the next two rounds went quickly in favour of Coffee Clock, ending the map 6 - 1 in the favour of Coffee Clock.

BUTTERFLY EFFECT picked Sunshine as their first map pick. The first round was a fast mid-to-last round in the favour of Coffee Clock. Despite keeping dogroll alive, BUTTERFLY EFFECT were unable to win the Uber trade and lost the first fight. The next round was much longer, caused by waiting for a Spy play after Coffee Clock won the mid. Coffee Clock's Spy play failed, so Sniper was the next choice. After an Uber trade the Sniper managed to kill BUTTERFLY EFFECT's Demoman and allowed Coffee Clock to win the round. The next round was back and forth, with drops from both Medics and Soldiers managing to force the oppositions Uber consistently. Slowly but surely the round went in favour of Coffee Clock. The next quick round again went to Coffee Clock after they won an Uber trade into last. A similar situation to last map. The next two rounds were both hard fought, BUTTERFLY EFFECT winning their first mid of the map and, after a successful spy play, managing win the last point, the final round went to Coffee Clock again and making the final score 5 - 1 to Coffee Clock.

Product started off looking like it would be in Coffee Clock's favour again. After wiping BUTTERFLY EFFECT at mid, dogroll spawned Kritzkreig and begin building in spawn while the sac wave began. Coffee Clock dropped their Uber, signaling a push from BUTTERFLY EFFECT on respawn, now with full Kritzkrieg. BUTTERFLY EFFECT managed to win the Kritz exchange and gained control of the point. However it was too late, as Coffee Clock had very little cap time remaining and were able to regain the point and hold it for the short remainder of the map. The next round was much similar, with only a single point ownership change. The third round started off with a mid win from BUTTERFLY EFFECT after their Sniper got some crucial picks. A successful force from a sac wave allowed Coffee Clock to push back in with one minute and 30 seconds left on BUTTERFLY EFFECT's clock. BUTTERFLY EFFECT managed to force Coffee Clock and gain an Uber advantage, which they then used to kill Coffee Clock's medic in the last few seconds and cap the point which they held for the rest of the round. Round 4 could still be the final round of the Grand Finals. After stomping the mid fight it was looking good for BUTTERFLY EFFECT for the rest of the match. After an Uber advantage push from BUTTERFLY EFFECT failed to kill Coffee Clock's Medic lau, Coffee Clock managed to capture the point and held on to it for the remainder of the match ending the map 3 - 1 and the series 3 - 0.Coffee Clock are your ozfortress Season 25 Premier champions!

Thank you to all the players, support staff and patrons that helped make this season possible!
